His name is part of his registered name of ‘Castleside Nico’.

Nico trained at Durham Police Dog School and began service in Shetland in September 2006.

 

Nico is trained as a Dual Purpose Passive Drugs Detection Dog which means that he can sniff out illegal drugs on people as well as area searching.
